Tattoo Blog

I've been tattooing since 2002, and after all these years, I still have plenty to talk about.
Here I share my experience with large-scale tattoos, the ideas and challenges behind my work,
stories from tattoo conventions, and conversations about the industry.

You'll also find practical advice on choosing an artist, planning a sleeve,
understanding different tattoo styles, and preparing for a session.

I'm Rinat Tattarin Mingazdinov, a tattoo artist based in Los Angeles. Welcome to my blog.

    Explore My Tattoo Work

Reading about tattoos is one thing. Seeing the finished work is another.

If you're curious about the styles and projects I discuss here, take a look through my tattoo gallery. You'll find Japanese tattoos, biomechanical and bioorganic work, black and grey tattoos, portraits, and larger compositions.

For full-arm projects, you can also explore my Tattoo Sleeves page.

    Planning a Large Tattoo?

If something you’ve read here has given you an idea for a tattoo, I’d love to hear about it.

I focus on larger projects, including full sleeves, back pieces, and compositions that take multiple full-day sessions.

Send me your idea, the placement you’re considering, and a few reference images.

Consultations are free, online or in person at Monna Lissa Tattoo Studio in Los Angeles. I usually respond within 1−3 business days.
